What is upper & lower scan?
An upper and lower abdomen scan is a diagnostic imaging procedure that provides detailed views of the organs and structures in both the upper and lower abdominal regions. This type of scan typically employs ultrasound to visualize critical organs such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract.
During the procedure, patients may be asked to lie flat while the imaging equipment captures images of the abdomen. For ultrasound, a gel is applied to the skin to facilitate sound wave transmission. The procedure may take up to 15-30 minutes depending on the patients condition.
The upper abdomen scan focuses on organs like the liver and gallbladder, while the lower abdomen scan assesses structures such as the intestines and reproductive organs. This combined approach is valuable for diagnosing a wide range of conditions, including tumors, infections, inflammatory diseases, and obstructions.

Lower Abdomen:

TAKE NOTE:
Please fast for at least 8 hours before your scan for the best imaging results.
Ensure your bladder is full for a clearer view of the lower abdomen.
Important Appointment Guidelines:
Kindly arrive at least 15 minutes before check-in and preparation. Late arrivals could be subjected to a 30% additional charge.
If you are more than 15 minutes late or fail to appear, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged a 10% cancellation fee.
If you are unable to attend, please reschedule at least 2 hours in advance through the Flabee Care app. You may reschedule up to three times at no extra cost.
Cancellation policy:
a) Cancel 2 hours before the scheduled appointment: No cancellation fee
b) Late cancellation/ No-Show will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee
Waiting times may be up to 60 minutes from your scheduled appointment as we prioritise attentive care.
All refunds will be transferred back as Flabee Credits for your subsequent purchase. No withdrawal of Flabee Credits is allowed.
After attending your appointment, you will earn 1 Flabee Point for every Ringgit spent, which may be used to exchange for exclusive vouchers.
Booking Confirmation:
Once your payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Please check your spam folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email, it means your booking was not successfully processed. Please try to book again or contact our Customer Service for assistance.
Digital Delivery:
All reports, images, and videos will be sent through the Flabee Care app within 3-5 working days.
Additional Options:
Printed images (RM2-5 per sheet).
If a radiologist report is required, an additional charge of RM25 per section applies. (Please inform the sonographer before your scan if you need this report.)
