What is Lower Abdomen?

A lower abdomen ultrasound is a medical imaging test that uses sound waves to create detailed pictures of the organs and structures in the lower part of the abdomen. This includes the bladder, reproductive organs (such as the uterus and ovaries in women, and the prostate in men), parts of the intestines, and sometimes the lower part of the kidneys. The test is non-invasive and does not involve radiation, making it a safe diagnostic tool.

A lower abdomen ultrasound is commonly used to investigate symptoms like pelvic pain, urinary issues, abnormal menstrual cycles, or unexplained discomfort. It can help detect conditions such as ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, bladder issues, kidney stones, or signs of early pregnancy. The procedure typically involves applying a gel to the abdomen and using a transducer to send and receive sound waves, which generate real-time images of the internal structures. It is a quick, painless procedure, and results are usually available soon after the exam.

NOTICE:

  • Please ensure your bladder is full for a clearer scan.

Important Appointment Guidelines:

  • Kindly arrive at least 15 minutes before check-in and preparation. Late arrivals could be subjected to a 30% additional charge.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late or fail to appear, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged a 10% cancellation fee.

  • If you are unable to attend, please reschedule at least 2 hours in advance through the Flabee Care app. You may reschedule up to three times at no extra cost.

  • Cancellation policy:

    a) Cancel 2 hours before the scheduled appointment: No cancellation fee

    b) Late cancellation/ No-Show will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee

  • Waiting times may be up to 60 minutes from your scheduled appointment as we prioritise attentive care.

  • All refunds will be transferred back as Flabee Credits for your subsequent purchase. No withdrawal of Flabee Credits is allowed.

  • After attending your appointment, you will earn 1 Flabee Point for every Ringgit spent, which may be used to exchange for exclusive vouchers.

Booking Confirmation:
Once your payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Please check your spam folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email, it means your booking was not successfully processed. Please try to book again or contact Customer Service for assistance.


Digital Delivery:

  • All reports, images, and videos will be sent via Flabee Care app within 3-5 working days.

Additional Options:

  • Printed images available (RM2-5 per sheet).

  • If a radiologist's report is required, there is a charge of RM25 per section (please inform the sonographer before the scan starts).
