What is kidney, ureters & bladder scan (KUB)?

Kidneys, Ureters, and Bladder scan or known as KUB scan, is a type of ultrasound specifically designed to evaluate the urinary tract. This non-invasive procedure focuses on the kidneys, ureters, and bladder to identify abnormalities such as stones, tumors, infections, or structural issues.

The procedure is quick, usually lasting about 10 to 15 minutes, and does not require any special preparation, patients may be asked to avoid eating for a few hours before scan.

KUB scans are particularly useful in diagnosing kidney stones, urinary tract infections, and assessing kidney size and position. We provide important information about the anatomy and function of the urinary system, helping healthcare providers determine the appropriate treatment plan.

ATTENTION:

  • Ensure your bladder is full for a clearer scan image.

Important Appointment Guidelines:

  • Kindly arrive at least 15 minutes before check-in and preparation. Late arrivals could be subjected to a 30% additional charge.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late or fail to appear, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged a 10% cancellation fee.

  • If you are unable to attend, please reschedule at least 2 hours in advance through the Flabee Care app. You may reschedule up to three times at no extra cost.

  • Cancellation policy:

    a) Cancel 2 hours before the scheduled appointment: No cancellation fee

    b) Late cancellation/ No-Show will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee

  • Waiting times may be up to 60 minutes from your scheduled appointment as we prioritise attentive care.

  • All refunds will be transferred back as Flabee Credits for your subsequent purchase. No withdrawal of Flabee Credits is allowed.

  • After attending your appointment, you will earn 1 Flabee Point for every Ringgit spent, which may be used to exchange for exclusive vouchers.

Booking Confirmation:
Once your payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Please check your spam folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email, it means your booking was not successfully processed. Please try to book again or contact our Customer Service for assistance.

Digital Delivery:

  • All images, videos, and reports will be sent via Flabee Care app within 3-5 working days.

Additional Options:

  • Printed images (RM2-5 per piece).

  • If a radiologist report is required, a charge of RM25 per section will apply (please inform the sonographer before starting your scan).
