What is a Anatomy Scan?

An anatomy scan, also known as a 20-week scan or mid-pregnancy ultrasound, is a detailed ultrasound performed typically between 18 and 29 weeks of pregnancy. It is a critical diagnostic tool that examines the baby’s development, including the heart, brain, spine, kidneys, and limbs, ensuring everything is growing normally. The scan also checks for any physical abnormalities, such as congenital defects. Additionally, it helps determine the baby's position, the amount of amniotic fluid, and the placenta's location. This scan may also reveal the baby's sex, although that is not its primary purpose. It's a key part of routine prenatal care.

IMPORTANT:

Before booking anatomy scan, please ensure that you know your estimated due date to schedule the screening at the right time. A full anatomy scan is only suitable between 18 weeks and 24 weeks 6 days, while a partial anatomy scan is suitable between 25 weeks and 29 weeks 6 days. Image accuracy may be affected if the scan is performed outside the recommended timeframe.

Important Appointment Guidelines:

  • Kindly arrive at least 15 minutes before check-in and preparation. Late arrivals could be subjected to a 30% additional charge.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late or fail to appear, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged a 10% cancellation fee.

  • If you are unable to attend, please reschedule at least 2 hours in advance through the Flabee Care app. You may reschedule up to three times at no extra cost.

  • Cancellation policy:

    a) Cancel 2 hours before the scheduled appointment: No cancellation fee

    b) Late cancellation/ No-Show will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee

  • Waiting times may be up to 60 minutes from your scheduled appointment as we prioritise attentive care.

  • All refunds will be transferred back as Flabee Credits for your subsequent purchase. No withdrawal of Flabee Credits is allowed.

  • After attending your appointment, you will earn 1 Flabee Point for every Ringgit spent, which may be used to exchange for exclusive vouchers.

Booking Confirmation:
Once your payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Please check your spam folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email, it means your booking was not successfully processed. Please try to book again or contact our Customer Service for assistance.

Digital Delivery:

  • All pictures, videos, and reports sent via Flabee Care apps within 3-5 days

Optional:

  • Printed photos available at only RM2-5 per photo

Repeat Scan Policy
A repeat scan may be needed if the image quality is affected by certain factors. This includes differences in machine types, low amniotic fluid, a thick abdominal layer, or the baby’s position—such as hiding behind the uterus, being blocked by the placenta, or not cooperating by covering the face.

Note: For appointments made after 1st March 2025, the repeat scan charge will be increased from RM10 to RM20.
