What is lower abdomen for women?

A lower abdomen ultrasound scan for women is a non-invasive procedure used to assess the uterus, ovaries, and bladder. Utilizing high-frequency sound waves, this imaging technique generates real-time images to help identify abnormalities.

During the scan, the uterus is evaluated for conditions such as fibroids, polyps, or signs of endometriosis. The ovaries are examined for cysts, tumors, or signs of conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome. The bladder is assessed for its size, wall thickness, and any abnormalities that could indicate infection or other issues.

Patients typically lie on their back, and a conductive gel is applied to the abdomen to facilitate sound wave transmission. The procedure is painless and usually takes about 30 minutes. This ultrasound provides crucial information for diagnosing various gynecological and urinary conditions, helping healthcare providers develop effective treatment plans and monitor overall reproductive health.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • Please ensure your bladder is full before the scan for clearer imaging.

Important Appointment Guidelines:

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes early before your appointment.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled or you may be charged an additional 30% late arrival fee.

  • If you are unable to attend, please reschedule in advance through the Flabee Care app. You are allowed to reschedule up to three times at no additional cost.

  • Cancellation Policy

    a) Cancellations made at least 2 hours before the appointment: No cancellation charges.

    b) Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the appointment: A 10% cancellation fee will be charged.

    c) No-shows without cancellation: Deposit will be forfeited.

  • Waiting time may take up to 60 minutes from the scheduled time as we prioritise attentive care.

  • Prices does not include consultation services. Consultation services are available at non-HQ outlets for a separate fee.

Booking Confirmation:
Once your payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Please check your spam folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email, it means your booking was not successfully processed. Please try to book again or contact our Customer Service for assistance.

Digital Delivery:

  • All pictures, videos, and reports will be sent via the Flabee Care app within 3–5 working days. Radiology reports are available upon request and are subject to extra charges.

Additional Options:

  • Printed images (RM2-5 per sheet).

  • If a radiologist report is required, an additional charge of RM25 per section applies. (Please inform the sonographer before your scan if you need this report.)
