What is Undescended Testis Scan?
An Undescended Testis Scan Ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging procedure used to locate testes that have not descended into the scrotum, a condition known as cryptorchidism. This condition is typically observed in infants and young children but may occasionally be assessed in adolescents or adults.
The ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the inguinal and pelvic regions, where the undescended testis may be located. It is a non-invasive, painless, and safe method that does not involve radiation.
The scan helps healthcare providers assess the position, size, and condition of the testes, which is critical for planning appropriate treatment, such as hormonal therapy or surgical correction (orchiopexy). Early identification and treatment are essential to reduce risks of infertility, testicular torsion, or testicular cancer associated with undescended testes. The procedure typically takes 15–30 minutes and is performed by a trained radiologist or sonographer.

Important Appointment Guidelines:
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early before your appointment.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled or you may be charged an additional 30% late arrival fee.
If you are unable to attend, please reschedule in advance through the Flabee Care app. You are allowed to reschedule up to three times at no additional cost.
Waiting time may take up to 60 minutes from the scheduled time as we prioritise attentive care.

A paediatric undescended testis ultrasound is performed to assess the location and condition of the testes in infants and young children, helping to detect cryptorchidism (undescended testis) or other abnormalities related to testicular development.
