What is Spine Scan?
A Spine Scan ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique used to evaluate the soft tissues, structures, and alignment of the spine. It employs high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of the spine, including muscles, ligaments, intervertebral discs, and nerve roots. Unlike X-rays or CT scans, ultrasound does not use ionizing radiation, making it safer, especially for pregnant women and children.
This technique is commonly used to assess conditions such as muscle injuries, nerve impingements, herniated discs, or abnormalities in the spinal region. It is also useful for guiding procedures like injections or biopsies. While it is limited in visualizing deeper bone structures, Spine Scan ultrasound excels in dynamic assessments, allowing clinicians to observe movement and changes in soft tissues.

Important Appointment Guidelines:
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early before your appointment.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled or you may be charged an additional 30% late arrival fee.
If you are unable to attend, please reschedule in advance through the Flabee Care app. You are allowed to reschedule up to three times at no additional cost.
Waiting time may take up to 60 minutes from the scheduled time as we prioritise attentive care.

Detailed Examination for Infant & Child Spinal Assessment
A paediatric spine ultrasound is performed to assess the spinal cord condition in infants and young children, helping to detect abnormalities such as spina bifida, tethered cord syndrome, or other neurological concerns.

For Sabah/Sarawak, please book at least 24 hours in advance.
