What is Hernia?

A hernia ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging test used to detect and evaluate hernias. A hernia occurs when an organ or tissue pushes through a weak spot or opening in the muscle or connective tissue that normally holds it in place. The ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of the area being examined.

In the case of a hernia, an ultrasound can help visualize the bulging tissue or organ, determine the size and location of the hernia, and identify if there are any complications, such as strangulation (when blood flow to the herniated tissue is cut off). It is commonly used because it is non-invasive, does not require radiation, and can provide real-time images.

Has symptoms like a visible bulge, pain, or discomfort in a specific area of the abdomen or groin. It can also be useful for evaluating the results of hernia surgery or assessing the presence of a hernia in patients with unclear symptoms.

ATTENTION:

  • No fasting required; you may eat and drink as usual.

  • For Sabah/Sarawak, please book at least 24 hours in advance.

Important Appointment Guidelines:

  • Kindly arrive at least 15 minutes before check-in and preparation. Late arrivals could be subjected to a 30% additional charge.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late or fail to appear, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged a 10% cancellation fee.

  • If you are unable to attend, please reschedule at least 2 hours in advance through the Flabee Care app. You may reschedule up to three times at no extra cost.

  • Cancellation policy:

    a) Cancel 2 hours before the scheduled appointment: No cancellation fee

    b) Late cancellation/ No-Show will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee

  • Waiting times may be up to 60 minutes from your scheduled appointment as we prioritise attentive care.

  • All refunds will be transferred back as Flabee Credits for your subsequent purchase. No withdrawal of Flabee Credits is allowed.

  • After attending your appointment, you will earn 1 Flabee Point for every Ringgit spent, which may be used to exchange for exclusive vouchers.

Booking Confirmation:
Once your payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Please check your spam folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email, it means your booking was not successfully processed. Please try to book again or contact our Customer Service for assistance.

Digital Delivery:

  • All images will be sent via Flabee Care app within 3-5 working days.

Additional Options:

  • Printed images (RM2-5 per sheet).

  • If a radiologist report is required, a charge of RM25 per section will apply (please inform the sonographer before starting your scan).
